Mr Spudleys Vegie Patch

Situated in Shellharbour Square, Shellharbour. Mt Spudleys Vegie Patch was designed and built in-house with the assistance of the client who wanted to make a statement in the local area.

This project required not only the creation of this new store but also the defit and removal of the old store. The location has been home to Shellharbour Squares fruit markets for over the last 15 years. Each time the store has come under new management it has been redesigned and improved to reflect the attitude of the new owners.

In this case the new owners wanted something completely new and different. For the first time locally, a more trendy design and concept was used for a fruit market.

- The use of graphic designs above the fruit benches to coincide with the mirrors and bright lighting. This gives the impression that the fruit & vegetables go all the way to the ceiling.

- The manufacture of Timber and stainless steel gondolas that give a heavy impression.

- Streamlining the style of counters and servery areas to be more ergonomic and blend in with the colour scheme and bulkheads over the shop front area.

- The addition of a tiled partition, designed to break up the frontage but at the same time offer a further point for display and sales.

- The stainless steel and timber fruit boxes at the front of the store blending in with the impacting bulk head and sign. The impression of a country setting with style and vibrancy.

A fit out of this size is not possible without the support and participation of the client. This project would never have come to life if it were not for the focus and foresight of the owners.

A gem of the local area. Mr Spudleys is continually described as “the best” fruit market along the south coast. Whilst we are privileged to have worked on this project the recognition of this stores success, goes to the owners and staff who merchandise and beautify this location every day to make it the success that it is.
