The client was interested in building a new Optometrist outlet with a greater emphasis on blending the retail area with the consultation room.

The design incorporates the usual optometrist setting with a slight change to ramping as you make your way through to the back of the store and then into the consultation room. The room at the rear of the store incorporates a window, which allows the practitioner to see into the retail area ensuring service should he/she be in the store alone.

The store is rather small due to the main street locations and so the design has utilised lighter colours and extra lighting to raise the general mood.

The emphasis in this project was placed on the counter, which is situated directly at the point of entry to the store. The counter has an extremely modern design and compliments the retail area of display counters by its uniqueness.

As on many occasions, this store had little time to be completed. Design concepts and manufacture were all handled by Pro Finish.

As an example of efficiency, this store was created with a fixed budget. The owners have to be commended for making the store as attractive as it is with their merchandising and promotional efforts.
